 Florida DCF Invitation to Negotiate ITN-#NEC4-0708-ITN-001 for Lead
Agency for Community-Based Care in Circuit 4/Northeast Region: Nassau
County
Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) released an invitation
to negotiate (NEC4-0708-ITN-001), seeking a lead agency to provide foster
care services for Nassau County in DCF Circuit 4, Northeast Region. The
lead agency provides community-based foster care and adoption services. A
notice of intent to file was required by March 6, 2008. Proposals are due
by April 14, 2008. A decision is expected by April 29, 2008, and final
contract awards are expected by July 14, 2008. The five-year contract
will begin September 1, 2008, and end June 30, 2013; it has one
three-year renewal option. The contract is valued at $2.7 million per
year.
The ITN calls for prospective vendors to describe how they will limit
caseload growth in addition to providing traditional foster care and
related services. This new point of evaluation reflects the states
intent to provide more prevention, intervention, and diversion services,
with the end goal of fewer children in out-of-home care.
