 Los Angeles Board of Supervisors Meeting Transcript Concerning Leased Inpatient Psychiatric Beds
On March 2, 2010, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a $3.57 million expansion to add 26 inpatient psychiatric beds at the Augustus F.
Hawkins Comprehensive Mental Health Center inpatient unit at the Willowbrook campus of the Martin Luther King Jr. medical campus. By September 2010, the
supervisors expect 21 beds to be ready for use. The rest will be ready by September 2011.
