 California Motion to Terminate Prison Receivership
In this motion to terminate the Receiver's office, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) said the Receiver's plans to bring the prison system into compliance are incompatible with the state's budget. The Receiver's construction plan, which includes designs and features proposed by the Department of Mental Health, is estimated to cost $8 billion.
