How to Make Lobbying an Effective Part of your Strategic Plan

This presentation, by Bill Wendt, JD CAC II, CEO/General Counsel, Signal Behavior Health Network, was given at the 2010 OPEN MINDS Marketing and Innovation Institute. During this session, Mr. Wendt outlines lobbying restrictions and allowances of 501(c)(3)'s, and the two possible choices: direct versus grassroots. Direct lobbying is communication about legislation with legislators or government officials who participate in formulation of legislation. Grassroots lobbying is an attempt to influence legislation through attempt to affect opinion of the general public.
