AHCA RFP 0608
The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a vendor to provide high quality mental health care services to Medicaid recipients in AHCA areas 2 and 3 not enrolled in a Medicaid Health Management Organization. The RFP specifies that the services will be provided through a prepaid, capitated arrangement. The RFP has been issued to secure providers in the areas so that Medicaid recipients have at least two managed care plans for behavioral health to choose from, as mandated by Florida law.
Proposals are due by April 20, 2006. Award announcements are anticipated by June 5, 2006. The contract is scheduled to begin July 1, 2006.
