List of Recommendations Adopted by the New York State Medicaid Redesign Team

On February 24, 2011, New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo accepted a draft recommendations report from the Medicaid Redesign Team that will cap the state’s Medicaid expenditures at $15 billion. The report’s 79 recommendations include initiatives intended to redesign and restructure the Medicaid program with a goal of improving the program’s efficiency. The recommendations are based on ideas submitted by stakeholders and suggestions and feedback from members of the Medicaid Redesign Team. This list of proposals approved by the Medicaid Redesign Team include a brief description of each proposal, the theme, and the estimated state savings for fiscal year 2011-2012.
