This case arises
out of acts of religious discrimination by The Salvation Army,
Inc. ("The Salvation
Army") directed at employees of social services and child
welfare programs known as Social Services for Children ("SSC")
that The Salvation Army administers for and on behalf of the City
of New York, the State of New York and the counties of Nassau and
Suffolk with monies provided by municipal, state and county
governments.
