COCIR Position Paper: For a better deployment and use of telehealth

The European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical, and Health Care IT Industry, represented by COCIR, published this position paper titled COCIR Position Paper: For a better deployment and use of telehealth. This position paper provides additional recommendations relating to two of their priority objectives, focus on disease prevention and leverage information technology. The main topics discusses in this report include the definitions of both telemedicine and telehealth, benefits of telehealth, the barriers hindering the development of telehealth, evidence on the effectiveness of telehealth, and the five key recommendations that summarize what COCIR proposes to facilitate the use of telehealth for the future.
