Examining the Medicare Resource Use of Dually Eligible Medicaid Recipients

The report, Examining the Medicare Resource Use of Dually Eligible Medicaid Recipient, published by The Hilltop Institute, addresses three broad objectives. 1) To provide an overview of Medicare services and expenditures for dually eligible Medicaid recipients in Maryland. 2) To serve as a primer on analytic methods needed to assess differenced related to some gives "treatment" effect; and 3) to specifically examine the effects of Medicaid long term services on Medicare resource use. Some of the topics in the report include long-term nursing facility care, medical day care, inpatient resource use, analytic methods, and disability status under Medicare.
