Washington Medicaid
Integration Partnership Demonstration Model Design Document
The Washington
Medicaid Integration Partnership Project Team has reviewed
successful models of
integration in other States and has incorporated recommendations
from the July 2002 WMIP RFI
into our proposed model. Descriptive analyses of Washington States
aged and disabled clients, the
cost for Medicaid-paid services, and their use of multiple DSHS
programs also helped shape the
proposed model. The WMIP plans to integrate funds to create a
client centered health care
model for Medicaid recipients that improves health care and
reduces expenditures.
