Wayne County RFP 37-09-064 for a Juvenile Justice Care Management Organization

On January 16, 2009, the Wayne County Department of Children and Family Services (CAFS) released a request for proposals (RFP 37-09-064) seeking a juvenile justice care management organization (CMO). The CMO will act as the lead agency for a defined service area and will develop a locally organized system of community-based and out-of-home services for about 4,500 at-risk and adjudicated juveniles annually. The goal is to improve the quality of services provided to juveniles and their families, reduce recidivism, reduce utilization of and duration of residential placements, and assure regular school attendance. Proposals are due March 3, 2009. The five-year capitated contract is expected to start October 1, 2009.
