Lost and Found: A Case Study of the Jewish Child Care Association
A case study of the Jewish Child Care Association (JCCA) is provided to illustrate the crises faced by older nonprofits and change strategies nonprofits can use to
overcome challenges. The development of the Jewish Child Care Association is described and the financial crisis it faced in 2000 is explained. The mission that
nonprofits sometimes experience is explored, and the decision of the JCCA to continue to serve all disadvantaged children, rather than refocusing on only Jewish
children, is shared.
