 Children's Mental Health: An Overview & Key Considerations for
Health System Stakeholders
Mental health care for children and youth needs substantial
improvement. Well-recognized barriers to care include inadequate
insurance coverage and geographic, racial and ethnic disparities in
access to and quality of care. This issue paper provides an overview
and highlights of key considerations for health system efforts to
promote and improve the mental health of children and youth.
