Administrators, nurses, aides, and other
professionals are challenged with balancing the seemingly
competing objectives of providing high quality care while keeping
costs down. A large body of research has emerged in recent years
indicating that behavioral health services can reduce or offset
the costs of providing care in a variety of health care settings,
including long-term care (1 Pallack, et al, 2 Friedman, et al,
3 Chiles, et al).
