The Affordable Care Act & Children with Special Health Care Needs: An Analysis & Steps for State Policymakers

This paper, by the National Academy for State Health Policy for The Catalyst Center at Boston University, analyzes the opportunities and challenges in state implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) in relation to children with special health care needs and their families, and suggests some steps states can take to make sure PPACA coverage works for this vulnerable population.
