ShareRequest for Proposals for New Mexico Works Providers

Issued on January 29, 2010, by the State of New Mexico's Human Services Department, the Request for Proposal solicits bids from professional services providing organizations for the New Mexico Works (NMW) Program. The provider(s) will provide case management, and assist parents with training, education and support services. The NMW Program provides cash assistance to eligible families and assists parents seeking employment. The NMW Program is fundable under the federal Temporary Assistance to Needy Families.

The Request for Proposal requests experience and ability of aspiring providers to work with low-income families, develop individualized employment plans, provide case management, identify barriers to employment, and make appropriate referrals to community partners for support services. A pre-proposal conference was held on February 9, 2010, for aspiring providers. Proposals must be submitted by March 1, 2010, no later than 3:00 pm Mountain Daylight Time. Finalists will be notified on March 8, 2010, with final agreements being completed no later than March 22, 2010.
