 American Recovery & Reinvestment Tax Act of 2009
This is the most recently proposed economic recovery package in the U.S. House of Representatives. It includes a provision, entitled the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act or HITECH Act, that is intended to advance the use of health IT by requiring the government to take a leadership role in developing nationwide electronic exchange of records by 2010.
