Connecticut
Committee Bill 301 was introduced by State Senator Martin Looney and

would require private health insurance companies to cover the diagnosis,
testing, and treatment of ASD. Coverage must be provided for treatments
prescribed, provided, or ordered by a licensed physician or licensed
psychologist who deems the care medically necessary. Covered treatments
include: diagnosis, habilitative or rehabilitative care, pharmacy care,
psychiatric care, psychological care, therapeutic care, counseling
