What You Can Do about Child Abuse

What you can do about child abuse published by the Oregon Department of Human Services examines what civilians can do to help prevent child abuse occurrences. The report includes information regarding making a report of child abuse, the importance of reporting abuse, the stresses of reporting abuse, the child protective services (CPS) process, and the frequency of child abuse. The report also provides information on physical abuse, sexual abuse and exploitation, neglect, abandonment and mental injury, threat of harm, and a brief glimpse at child selling. Concluding the report is a list of the Oregon child abuse reporting laws, and Department of Human Services reporting phone numbers for the state of Oregon.
