Data on Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities
This report found that overall, 83% of substance abuse treatment
facilities offered special programs or groups directed at a specific
client type. Some of these groups included: clients with co-occurring
disorders, adult women, adolescents, DUI/DWI offenders, seniors, and gays
or lesbians. These subdivisions were not equally available at all the
facilities studied. The ownership (private versus public) and size of the
facility contributed to the likelihood of special programs for certain
groups.
