Legislative Bill 1083: The Behavioral Health Services Act
A Bill to adopt the
Nebraska Behavioral Health Services Act; to change and eliminate
provisions relating to state hospitals and mental health
commitments; to transfer the Nebraska Mental Health Commitment
Act; to provide for fund transfers from and an authorized use of
the Affordable Housing Trust Fund; to provide for licensure of
alcohol and drug abuse counselors; to create a board; to provide
for fees; to provide and change powers and duties; to eliminate
the Nebraska Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services Act,
the Rehabilitation and Support Mental Health Services Incentive
Act, the Alcoholism, Drug Abuse, and Addiction Services Act, the
Nebraska Behavioral Health Reform Act, and provisions relating to
behavioral health; to harmonize provisions; to provide
severability; to provide operative dates; to repeal the original
sections.
