Report of the LR 283 Nebraska Developmental Disabilities Special Investigative Committee
December 2008 The Developmental Disabilities Special Investigative Committee was established by the Nebraska Legislature in response to reports from the Department of Justice and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services which documented repeated episodes of abuse and neglect of residents at the Beatrice State Developmental Center. The legislation establishing the Committee, LR 283, authorized the Committee to conduct its investigation over the interim of the 2008-2009 legislative session and provide a report of its findings by December 15, 2008 . . .
