St. Joseph Probate Court Juvenile Division Community Transition Program
The Community Transition Program is a program developed by the St. Joseph
Probate Court; it is funded by a grant from the Indiana Department of
Correction. The program is intended to provide a structured and
supportive release from institutionalization into the community for youth
involved with the juvenile justice system.
The program provides parents
with services to establish healthy family structures that provide support
and appropriate supervision. It emphasizes families and youth in a
juvenile justice institution both need to be prepared for the youth's
reentry into the community. To ensure that high quality services are
provided to families and youth, St. Joseph Probate Court reviews the
programs serving families and youth.
