 House Resolution 6408: "Tax Relief & Health Care Act of 2006"
This legislation included a variety of sections that extended
certain tax provisions for 2007 and changed technical details of
legislation. Health care relevant topics include:
- Clarifications to the use and
offering of health savings accounts
- Implementation of Medicare quality
improvement that includes physician payment rates and a 1.5% bonus
in the latter half of 2007 for physicians that report on their
adherence to a series of quality-of-care measures
- Clarification of hospice satellite
designations
- Extension of the Transitional
Medical Assistance and the abstinence education program
- Provision for a study on
establishing a uniform national database on elder abuse
