This is a report of the National Advisory Mental
Health Council's Workgroup on Clinical Trials. The recommendations of the
workgroup divide into three main areas: creating the optimal treatment
research portfolio; building clinical trials capacity and expertise; and
improving the operation, efficiency and productivity of clinical trials.
