 Retiree Health
Benefits Now and in the Future
This survey, conducted
by The Henry J. Kaiser Foundation and Hewitt Associates, is
designed to capture information on retiree health programs offered
by large private-sector employers. The study focuses on large
employers because these firms are far more likely than mid- and
small-sized firms to offer retiree health benefits, and are
therefore the best focus for a survey that examines the scope of
private-sector retiree health coverage. The survey provides
information on eligibility, benefits, premiums, and total costs in
2003, and offers insights as to what changes employers say they
are likely to make in the near future.
