Five Year Plan 2002-2007
In 1990, the Connecticut
Legislature passed Connecticut General Statute 17a-211,
requiring the department to
develop a five-year plan, hold public hearings, and submit the
plan and a transcript of the
hearings to the legislature every two years. New
versions of the departments Five Year Plan are produced and
released according to a two
year planning cycle. The Plan is developed during odd numbered
years, and released and
implemented during even numbered years. Fiscal Year 2002 marks the
beginning of a new
plan development cycle. Our strategic planning process is dynamic
and ongoing.
