Alaska Seeks
Permanent Families For Adoptive/Guardianship
The Division of Family
and Youth Services, is requesting proposals from eligible applicants
to develop and provide adoption and guardianship homestudy services
for children in the custody of the Division of Family and Youth
Services. These services are needed to assist the DFYS with the
completion of adoptions or legal guardianships for children waiting
in the DFYS out-of-home care system. The Permanent Families Contract
is to be provided on a regional basis, within appropriate timeframe
completion requirements for each of the individual phases of the
Permanent Families Contract. The services will be provided through
four (4) regional contractors, who will serve DFYS children across
the state. Proposals are due 7/2/03.

Washington Intends To
Award Sole Source to Washington State Coalition Against Domestic
Violence for Consultation
The Department of Social
and Health Services (DSHS), Children's Administration, Division of
Program and Policy, contemplates awarding a sole source contract to
the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (WSCADV)
for consultation, training, administration of the statewide domestic
violence fatality review project, advocacy and outreach on domestic
violence victim issues for domestic violence victim services
programs and others throughout the State of Washington. WSCADV is a
non-profit membership coalition comprised of domestic violence
victim services program representatives and other interested persons
and organizations. The contract will be for a 12 month period
beginning July 1, 2003. Proposals are due 5/23/03.
