Description:
How do we make the most of the resources that we have
to provide MR/DD services? The convergence of consumerism, new
technologies, person-centered planning, self-determination, regulatory and
judicial initiatives, and shrinking budgets have increased the interest in
new models for managing care delivered in MR/DD service systems. This
seminar provides participants with an update on new models and tool-based
approaches to implementing such a system. Our one-day session looks at
trends in service delivery and financing; new frameworks for
population-based management; and the evolution of service continuums for
persons with disabilities.
