Ms. Kidd began her career in Oklahoma as a behavioral health clinician for adults and adolescents. In 1998, she joined the faculty of Oklahoma State University as an adjunct instructor, teaching in the Chemical Dependency Counseling Program. Ms. Kidd served as a clinician and Program Director for the Dual Diagnosis (Mental Illness/Substance Abuse) Program at Red Rock Mental Health Center. She also served as a Review Coordinator/Provider Trainer for the Medicaid Behavioral Health Prior Authorization Program, Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality. After moving to Colorado in 2000, she became the Director of Utilization Management for the Jefferson Center for Mental Health, a not-for-profit mental health center in Colorado serving three counties. In 2001, Ms. Kidd became the Director of Utilization Management for Foothills Behavioral Health which manages mental health benefits for persons enrolled in the Colorado Medicaid Community Mental Health Program and living in Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Gilpin, and Jefferson Counties. Before joining the OPEN MINDS staff in May, 2008 she served as a consultant and advisory board member.

Ms. Kidd received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma and her Master of Arts in Christian Counseling from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
