Stephen A. DaRe, Senior Consultant, has been providing financial and management services
for over thirteen years. Prior to his current role, Mr. DaRe served as executive vice president and
chief financial officer of American Psych Systems, where he had responsibility for all financial
and administrative aspects of the organization. He has also served as Senior Vice President of
Finance Public Sector at Magellan Health Services, where he directed all finance activities for
the public sector division. These activities included budgeting, financial management, pricing
and underwriting for managed Medicaid programs. Mr. DaRe was also Manager, Financial
Planning and Analysis at Principal Health Care. He began his career with MAMSI Life and
Health where he served as Financial Analyst.
In addition to these accomplishments, Mr. DaRe's experience includes managing companies
through the mergers process and raising capital. He has directed the initial public offering (IPO)
process through initial filing of registration statement; has procured a $25 million credit facility
with a leading baking institution; completed a $15 million equity investment and recapitalization;
and coordinated $7.5 million mezzanine financing with two venture capital firms. Mr. DaRe
earned his Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Baltimore and his Master's
degree in business administration from Loyola College.
