Michael F. Barkey, M.S.W., Senior Associate, has nearly 30 years of executive leadership in the
behavioral health field, managing all elements of the behavioral health continuum in both the
public and private sectors. He has served as chief operating officer for strategic partnerships for
a Prepaid Health Plan; vice president and chief operating officer for a regional mental health
authority; and chief executive officer for an independent practitioners association of primary and
specialty care physicians. He has led innovative system developments including the formation of
a regional benefits management group to manage long-term care for the elderly and disabled; a
community health plan for the uninsured; and a research consortium for geriatric assessment and
care management. Mr. Barkey received his Master's degree in Social Work from the University
of Michigan. |
