Dan M. Aune, M.S.W., OPEN MINDS Senior
Consultant, brings with him a wealth of clinical supervision,
administration, program supervision and development experience. Until
joining OPEN MINDS, Mr. Aune served as the Director of Galatin
Mental Health Center in Bozeman, Montana. In this role, he provided
leadership, management, and development of a community based mental health
center serving three counties and approximately 3,000 consumers. Mr. Aune
participated on the Western Montana Mental Health Centers leadership team
in the management of 14 Community Mental Health Centers.
As the Pediatric Services/Clinic & Clinician Supervisor
at PRAIRIE St. John's in Fargo, North Dakota, Mr. Aune was responsible for
delivery of pediatric psychiatric and chemical dependency services to both
inpatient and partial hospital programming and managed Clinic & Clinician
services within the hospital and clinic environment. In his role as Lead
Community Liaison at Prairie Psychiatric Center in Fargo, Mr. Aune
provided marketing, business development and community relations to a
five-state area (North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Minnesota and Iowa)
and developed marketing strategies for private psychiatric and addiction
services.
Throughout the past 27 years in the behavioral health
and social service field, Mr. Aune has also provided counseling and
training services in a variety of clinical and organizational settings.
Since 1998, Mr. Aune has provided consulting and training for the Dream
Catcher Institute North America that offers its services across
international borders, with multi-cultural ethnic groups in education,
business, corrections, and health care settings regarding lead management
to enhance quality and employee team efforts and to Native American tribes
regarding social, mental and healthcare issues. Mr. Aune received his
Bachelors of Sociology/Social Work from Montana State University and his
Masters of Social Work from the University of Denver. |
