Borden A. Wilson, Senior Consultant, brings OPEN MINDS customers
extensive strategic and systems experience in the behavioral health field.
In her work, Ms. Wilson has been involved in all aspects of program and
system development including market analysis, planning, positioning,
branding, and new service line development.
Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Wilson was with the Eli Lilly and
Company’s Public Health Division and was responsible for coordinating
communication across numerous cross-functional experts from medical,
sales, marketing, managed care, research, and public health. In this
capacity, she played in integral role with the Florida Behavioral Health
Collaborative. The Collaborative was the first of its kind in the country,
integrating retrospective, concurrent, and prospective drug utilization to
improve the quality of care to Medicaid recipients and to better manage
the fiscal challenges that the state of Florida was facing with its
Medicaid budget.
Over the past decade, Ms. Wilson has been involved in numerous other
mental health activities across the state of Florida, including: serving
as a member of the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of
Greater Tampa Bay; the Advisory Board for the Florida Assertive Community
Treatment (FACT) Statewide Training Initiative; the Advisory Board for
Mental Health Care Inc.; and the Advisory Board for the National Art
Exhibition by the Mentally Ill (NAEMI). Prior to her work in the
behavioral health field, she held marketing and consultative positions
with Laidlaw Environmental, NYNEX Business Centers, and Accenture’s U.S.
consulting division. Ms. Wilson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in
computer engineering at the University of Florida. She has also been
completing graduate coursework in the public health arena in pursuit of
her Master’s degree. |
